Wild Romania

Thinking about Romanian wildlife, one instantly thinks about bears. And that’s exactly what my friend, Attila Kobori, and I were aiming, when we first visited this country in April 2017. The best friend of Attila’s cousin, works as a ranger in an area of Transylvania which is known to harbor one of the highest European bear densities. Reading tracks and installing trail cameras enabled us to find out more about the bears activities and frequently visited sites. Each time we are visiting Romania, we learn more about the bears and their moving patterns and where it’s best to hide or set up a cameratrap. This intensive research and field experience is the basis for this diverse gallery.
